In a moment of madness over a few drinks last November a friend and I decided to "do" the Snowdonia Marathon 2009 (www.snowdoniamarathon.com). It seemed like a good idea at the time! It’s now almost upon us - 24th October 2009 - and I have been pounding the streets in and around the village trying to get fit. It will be a huge challenge (for a middle-aged "power" walker, Snowdonia, end October, hmmm....) and I would like Katharine House Hospice at Adderbury to benefit from my huffings and puffings, blisters and stiff joints, since these minor inconveniences will be a very small price to pay if I can raise lots of money for the Hospice.
