Foundation Degree in Policing

June 25, 2012 By Paul Cunningham

If you’re looking for a change in direction or a career where you can make a real difference, then the Foundation Degree in Policing could be just what you are looking for.

Developed by Oxford Brookes University in collaboration with Thames Valley Police and Oxford and Cherwell Valley College, this two-year course enables students to practice policing alongside regular police officers and police tutors.

Based at Oxford and Cherwell Valley College, this portable and nationally recognised qualification, provides a route to becoming a Special Constable and an introduction into how to become a police officer.

Focusing on community policing, relationship building and crime reduction this course would interest anyone looking to embark on a career in policing or to work within their wider community.
