Chris Fox is a songwriter from Cambridge who has started to attract a lot of attention playing clubs and increasingly, festivals. Whilst he is more than capable of holding an audience on his own, he has a real ability with the loop pedal, he can also front various combinations which gives him a great range and this is displayed to good effect on his new album ‘From The Shadow’. The ten songs, all self-written, range from melancholy minimalistic to some real up-temp numbers that get the foot tapping.
A genre defying Folk troubadour, Chris made rapid progress through the UK folk and roots scene with his songwriting, utilising a variety of styles across the roots lexicon of traditional & contemporary folk, Americana, Country and Blues. Audiences are enthralled by his rich vocals, complex guitar playing, and loop pedal alchemy finding Chris to be humorous & thought provoking in equal measures. His naturally laid back, unostentatious style creates the perfect ambience for an intimate and inclusive live experience drawing listeners in with tales of both the everyday and the unexpected.
Chris Fox was outstanding, two sets of seat riveting vocals and loop wizardry. Chris is a true artist in every sense of the word from his emotive song writing to effortless delivery, with dramatic light and shade in his guitar playing, rich depth to his vocals, he really is worthy of headline act status at any club in the county
