Parish Council About

Parish Councils are civil councils and the lowest tier of local government in England. They are financed by a small amount of Council Tax, called the Precept. All Parish Councillors are volunteers.

Ascott-under-Wychwood Parish Council is entitled to maximum 5 Councillors and a part-time Clerk, who is a paid employee. We meet every 2nd Monday in the month (except in August) and all monthly meetings are open to the public. Monthly meetings are held at 7.30pm in Tiddy Hall, in the main hall downstairs. Agendas are posted on village noticeboards a week before each meeting. Minutes are available a month after each meeting on this website or contact the Clerk.
